What the job involves

The Senior Substance Misuse Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading the recommissioning of drug and alcohol services, ensuring procurement aligns with local needs and national policies. The role encompasses overseeing existing service delivery, managing provider contracts, and maintaining quality standards and compliance. The manager coordinates with key stakeholders to inform service design, embeds co-production to include service user input, and focuses on harm reduction initiatives. The role also involves ensuring robust data collection and performance analysis to support informed commissioning decisions and service improvements.
