Who You Are
You are a passionate individual who is keen to work with and inspire young people. You are dedicated to making a difference in their lives by supporting them to have a voice and influence on services, and engage them in positive activities. You are able to work from various locations within Tower Hamlets and are flexible with working hours, including weekends when required. You are also required to have a minimum of a Level 1/2 NVQ JNC recognized Youth Support Worker qualification or similar and have an enhanced DBS check.
What the Job Involves
As a Youth Worker, you will be part of a team delivering both universal and targeted youth activities and programs across the borough. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering youth activities that address issues such as health, bullying, transitions, sexuality/gender, crime, gangs, or drugs. You will ensure the delivery of informal educational programs and recreational activities while assessing the health, social and emotional requirements of young people. Additionally, you will support administrative tasks, collate data and prepare reports to verify the quality of work being undertaken.
