What the job involves
The job involves cleaning and maintaining all common areas of a housing estate according to local work programmes. This includes sweeping and washing communal staircases, entrances, foyers, passages, courtyards, car parks, and refuse storage rooms. Responsibilities also include cleaning lift cars, estate signs, balustrades, estate furniture, and other fixtures. The role requires handling refuse, clearing blockages, emptying and cleaning litter bins, removing weeds, picking litter, sweeping communal areas, and promptly removing graffiti. Additionally, you will liaise with residents and other services during emergencies and ensure all tasks are in compliance with health and safety standards.
