What the job involves
This role involves operating vehicles for refuse collection and recycling, directing a small team during your driving duties, and using both manual and automatic collection equipment. You will be responsible for handling a variety of waste including domestic, food, bulky items, and trade waste. Your tasks include collecting, sorting, and loading different recyclables, delivering bins and sacks to households, and maintaining exceptional productivity and service standards. You will need to comply with health and safety regulations, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and work additional hours if needed to complete collection rounds or on Bank Holidays, excluding specific days.
