Who You Are
We are seeking an experienced social work manager, ready to start immediately for an initial 3-month post to cover a period of sickness. You should have proven experience in child safeguarding, with strong writing and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a supportive, learning environment and be comfortable working in an office-based setting in Yeovil, Somerset. A full driving licence and access to a car are necessary.
What the Job Involves
As a Team Manager in our Family Safeguarding Team, you'll lead a team of 6 social workers. You will provide support, supervision, scrutiny, and oversight for the children and families they serve. Key responsibilities include chairing meetings such as strategy discussions and permanency planning, supporting social workers in court hearings, and making decisions regarding need and risk. Our Family Safeguarding Teams work holistically, offering whole family support with a focus on relationship-based practice.
