What the Job Involves
As a Planning Officer in Development Management, you will be responsible for processing, evaluating, and making recommendations on various planning applications, including listed building consents and householder planning applications. You will conduct site visits, negotiate with developers, and provide pre-application advice to a range of stakeholders. Report writing and presenting to the Planning Committee will be a key part of your role, along with ensuring compliance with the Local Plan and National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). Additionally, you will handle planning appeals where appropriate.
