You are a passionate Social Worker with at least five years of post-qualifying experience, committed to making a positive impact on children and their families. You have a strong understanding of various social work theories and models, enabling you to implement imaginative and ambitious interventions. You are dedicated to supporting children through timely interventions and aim to achieve the best outcomes for them and their families.
What the Job Involves
As a Social Worker in the Family Help team, you will manage a varied caseload of children, conduct direct work with them to understand their views, and work towards improving their outcomes. Your role involves chairing multi-agency meetings, liaising with professionals, and reducing the number of children entering local authority care. You will provide support from assessment onwards, focusing on building meaningful relationships with families to create lasting change. Your work contributes to Central Bedfordshire Council's goal of enhancing its Ofsted rating from 'Good' to 'Outstanding'.
