What the Job Involves
As an Assistant Transformation Project Manager, you will develop and deliver transformation projects, leading on smaller workstreams and supporting projects through the final implementation of changes. Your role includes planning, estimating, benefits mapping, change management, and stakeholder engagement. You will ensure project goals are research-backed and align with council priorities, while managing risks, assumptions, and dependencies. You will collaboratively work across teams and establish project governance to ensure accountability, effective delivery, and financial tracking.
Skills
- Knowledge of project and programme management methodologies
- Experience in leading and initiating projects
- Advanced IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio)
- Ability to produce concise written reports
- Good presentation and effective communication skills
- Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams
- Experience or willingness to gain project management qualifications (APM, Agile PM, PRINCE2)
- Understanding of legislation related to homelessness and housing options
