You are an experienced social work professional, well-versed in child protection and court work. You have a deep understanding of trauma-informed practice and a commitment to safeguarding children and young people at risk of harm. You meet high reference standards as per DfE guidance.
What the job involves
This statutory role is responsible for safeguarding children and young people at risk of significant harm. You will perform statutory duties and responsibilities as defined by relevant legislation and guidance. Your tasks include managing risks, securing alternative homes for children, and undertaking casework within legislative frameworks. You will interact directly with children, families, and other professionals to deliver support and achieve positive outcomes, requiring flexible working hours and environments. Expect to work in challenging situations, occasionally giving evidence in court, while maintaining professional resilience.
