Who You Are
The ideal candidate will possess excellent experience within a Facilities and/or Customer service environment. You should have a successful track record of assisting in building great services, with excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with a range of staff and services to support excellent service delivery. Good IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office, are required. A Health and Safety qualification is desirable.
What the Job Involves
The role of the Logistics Operative involves managing workspaces and buildings within the Council's corporate property portfolio, including libraries, administration buildings, and community centres. You will work on establishing new procedures and policies, ensuring buildings are safe, clean, and compliant, and that customer service is prioritized. Responsibilities also include planning FM services for the New Town Hall, handling requests from the FM Helpdesk, maintaining statutory compliance, and ensuring value for money while providing excellent service.
