Who You Are

You are a skilled Senior Family Therapist with advanced training and expertise in systemic practice. You are dedicated to supporting high-quality interventions within the Edge of Care Team and across Children’s Social Care in Tower Hamlets. You thrive in multi-disciplinary environments, collaborating with social workers, clinical psychologists, and other practitioners to promote a holistic, relationship-based approach that strengthens family resilience and prevents escalation to care proceedings.

What the Job Involves

This role is critical in delivering systemically informed consultation, formulation, and direct therapeutic work with children and young people (aged 8–17) and their families. As the Senior Family Therapist, you focus on strengthening family relationships, building resilience, and minimizing risks of family breakdown or care proceedings. You will manage complex case loads, work autonomously in various settings, and contribute to embedding systemic thinking within the workforce by providing supervision, consultation, and training to practitioners. Additionally, you will be involved in service development, monitoring systemic interventions, supporting evaluation and learning, and contributing to policy and practice development.
