Who You Are
You are a dedicated and empathetic social worker with a strong commitment to safeguarding the well-being of children and families. You possess a solid understanding of the social care framework, including relevant legislation and national guidelines. With at least one-year post-qualifying experience in a statutory Children's Social Care setting, you are knowledgeable about working with diverse communities and understand the different types of family support interventions necessary for the role.
What the Job Involves
This role involves providing high-quality casework and services to vulnerable children and families, ensuring their protection and enhancing their life outcomes. You will engage in assessments, interventions, and reviews, working closely with other specialists and agencies to promote the welfare of children in need or subject to child protection and court processes. Your role will also include participating in professional meetings, negotiating needs and services for clients, and fulfilling statutory duties according to the council's policies. You will work within a positive, collaborative team environment utilizing Restorative Practice frameworks.
